Sutton West Ward Representation
The Huthwaite electoral area lays inside Sutton-in-Ashfield, forming the largest part of its Sutton West Ward in the Ashfield Council District under a Nottinghamshire County Council, within the East Midlands region.
Amongst this once industrious coal mining region the National Labour party had generally long maintained a very strong and almost devout following. But despondent voters began showing 21st century unrest, reflected again by results of last elections.
