Huthwaite Omnibus Connections

Photographs held by Mansfield Museum date when new AEC Regent buses took over from the Huthwaite tram ride. The first 17 vehicles were impressively lined up across Mansfield Market Place on the Sunday morning of 18th September 1932. Starting routes that same day they heading into Huthwaite, Pleasley and Mansfield Woodhouse. The last electric trams continued running into Berry Hill until 9th October 1932, dated by the following photograph recording that final takeover.
